Yes, I have decided to start a blog, to keep in touch with family and friends around the world. If I have set things up correctly, you should have received an email inviting you to look at the blog. If not, I'll try again. And I think only people I invite can look at it - if so, and there is anyone else you think I should invite, just let me know!
So far there's just a practice post from yesterday, on the visit Nic and I made to Montpelier in Virginia. I'll try to add some more regular (and interesting) stuff over the next few days. And Nic is also able to post stuff on here if she wants to, so I hope there will be some guest posts from her (e.g. "please tidy the flat", "why are you not home?").
I'm just going to see how things go to start with - work out how it works and post as and when I think there's something interesting to say. I'll be in DC til ecember the 18th, then back for Christmas and New Year, so there's likely to be a bit of a gap then.
Please send comments, advice and suggestions. The two rules I can think of so far are 1. I don't plan to talk about work except in the most general terms and 2. please keep posts clean! (that means you, Kov).
Now back to helping Nic pack (she flies home this evening),
